The impact of this project was manyfold. Recently-housed participants continue to receive praise and accolades from the diverse set of art show attendees who came together for this special night. The rendered artwork, as well as select fine art photos by ARK Photography, are currently for sale with proceeds shared between event organizers, Housing Matters participants, and local artists. Official metrics are being generated, but I was personally most impressed by the full spectrum of socio-economic groups present; We had high-profile government officials standing side-by-side with the houseless population appreciating the same works of art, celebrating the humanity in us all. This single aspect brought me to tears. A documentary film will be released soon describing the intricacies and nuances of the relationships built and the changes that occurred as a result of our collective efforts. Until then, here are a few images of the event itself.
